Founded in 2015, Axiom Reconstruction is a consulting firm based in Allen, Texas (a suburb of Dallas). We specialize in motor vehicle crash investigation, analysis, and reconstruction. We have reconstructed crashes or mishaps involving passenger vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, bicycles, farm equipment, watercraft, off-road vehicles, manufactured homes, cranes, and other commercial/industrial equipment. We implement the latest technology and scientific principles to accurately and effectively reconstruct and communicate our opinions through demonstrative aids such as photographs, accident site and vehicle diagrams, 3D visualizations and animations. We provide technical reports as well as deposition and trial testimony, when needed, in support of our developed opinions.
Our Team
Danny Phillips is an accredited accident reconstructionist with over 19 years of experience reconstructing thousands of motor vehicle accidents throughout the United States and foreign countries. Mr. Phillips has testified hundreds of times in various state and federal courts across the United States. Mr. Phillips is the owner and founder of Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. of Allen, Texas. Prior to becoming an accident reconstructionist, Mr. Phillips had a highly successful career as a professional military officer in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he was an analytical scientist at the Air Force Wargaming Institute and flew fighter planes, racking up over 1,000 hours in the F-15E Strike Eagle including significant combat time in the skies over Iraq. Mr. Phillips is a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Aerial Achievement Medal, and numerous other awards and decorations.
Mr. Phillips holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a Physics minor from the University of North Texas. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety courses in accident reconstruction and related disciplines. Mr. Phillips and his staff stay abreast of current advances in the field of accident reconstruction and related technology through continuing education and robust research.
Mr. Phillips has been married to his high school sweetheart, Amy, for over 34 years and together they have three ridiculously amazing children. He is an active member of First Baptist Church of Allen and enjoys running, swimming, and camping.
Orlando Carreon is an accredited accident reconstructionist who joined Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. in 2019 after his graduation from Texas A&M University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Engineering Project Management. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Mr. Carreon has testified in both state and federal courts.
During his time at Texas A&M University, Mr. Carreon served as an undergraduate researcher for the biomedical engineering department focused on 3D bio-printing of tissues. Orlando formed part of the Perception Systems Design team that developed a level four autonomous driving passenger vehicle for the General Motors - AutoDrive Challenge. He has also worked on an Industrial Engineering Senior Design Project that laid the foundation for the integration of an electric bus fleet at Texas A&M University.
In addition to accident reconstruction, Mr. Carreon specializes in memory chip-off acquisitions from vehicle systems, and chip-transfers from damaged modules on board vehicles. Mr. Carreon is a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety and has been a tremendous asset to the company with his extensive knowledge, capacity to learn, and problem-solving skills.
Mr. Carreon currently lives in the Dallas area with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys traveling, soccer, movies, and music, having attended numerous music festivals throughout the country. Mr. Carreon is also involved in his community, serving as a mentor for first-generation college students.
Camdyn Liening is an accredited accident reconstructionist who joined Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. in 2021 after graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
While at UT Arlington, Mr. Liening helped design and manufacture a whole-body vibrational platform intended as an alternative workout machine for rehabilitative patients.
Mr. Liening is a graduate of Northwestern University Center for Public Safety and has been a tremendous asset to the company with his extensive knowledge, capacity for learning, and problem solving skills.
Mr. Liening grew up in the DFW metroplex, where he now lives with his wife and daughter. Together, they enjoy watching sports, binging TV shows, eating good food, and going on walks with their dog.
Ryan Gans joined Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. in 2021 after his graduation from the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physics.
While at UT Austin, Mr. Gans spent his time working in a lab studying classical dynamics and the dynamics of rigid bodies, as well as volunteering with the Society of Physics Students and Advocates for Cancer Awareness.
Mr. Gans is a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety and has been a tremendous asset to the company with his extensive knowledge, capacity to learn, and problem solving skills.
Mr. Gans is originally from the Houston area and enjoys collecting vinyl, mountain biking, and cooking.
Matt Norris joined Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. in 2022 after working 4 years in the transportation engineering field. Mr. Norris brings experience with roadway design, traffic signal design, traffic impact/pattern studies, roadside intelligent transportation systems (ITS), as well as other aspects of the roadway system.
Mr. Norris is a graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. During his time at Missouri S&T, Mr. Norris also obtained a Certificate of Study in Explosives Engineering.
Mr. Norris is a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety courses in accident reconstruction and a graduate of the Traffic Signal Academy through the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Mr. Norris brings specialized knowledge to the Axiom Reconstruction team in his understanding and experience of the operations of traffic signals. With many traffic collisions occurring at signalized intersections, his knowledge and ability to analyze traffic conditions and the signal operations at these crash locations brings valuable insight to these cases.
Mr. Norris originally grew up in the Allen area and returned to the area in 2020 to grow closer with his family and to marry his beautiful wife, Rachel. Together they have one precious son and a wonderful cat. He is a member at Brookhaven Church in McKinney and serves in the children’s ministry. He enjoys playing board games with friends and family, watching Hallmark Christmas movies with his family, and exploring new hobbies.
Pedro Herrera has been working in the field of vehicle collision investigation and reconstruction for over 17 years. Mr. Herrera came to the field with a background in CAD drafting, and through the years, he has gained invaluable experience in crash investigations using cutting-edge technology including photography, surveying, and 3D laser scanning. Mr. Herrera is a master at 3D modeling and photogrammetry.
Mr. Herrera has taken course work in drafting, photogrammetry, simulations, and vehicle crash investigations. He specializes in technical computer applications such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Photomodeler, Photoshop, and Faro Scene.
Before working in collision reconstruction, Mr. Herrera worked in telecommunications, tasked in drafting maps that placed communication lines within properties and building for eight years. He has been married for over 20 years and is a father of 2. He has lived in the Dallas area all his life. Pedro has a discerning taste for music, movies, TV, and comedy. He uses this knowledge to help others understand how to see the world. This brings disappointment to many, but he is always willing to guide.
Keith Phillips brings 30+ years of professional experience with him from other areas of business to assist Axiom in their endeavors. Before starting with Axiom, Keith spent the past 21 years as a Sales Director and Senior Account Executive for the country’s largest medical-surgical distributor to hospitals and surgery centers.
Since joining the Axiom family in 2019, Keith has become proficient as a crash investigator specializing in data processing and visualization.
Keith is a recent returnee to the Lone Star state after being in Charlotte, NC for the past 30 years. He now resides in Melissa, TX with his daughter Raya. Keith enjoys fishing and working in his yard.
Ali Munoz is an enthusiastic and innovative professional with almost 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant and office manager in the crash reconstruction field. Ms. Munoz also has prior experience in credit collections and in the worker’s comp insurance field.
Ms. Munoz is the central nervous system of Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. - working in close coordination with the entire ARI staff. Ms. Munoz has proven indispensable in file management, organizing, and scheduling for the company. Ms. Munoz’s skills as an administrative, online, and social media investigator are unparalleled. She continuously receives rave reviews from clients for her uncanny ability to find and secure key evidence allowing for a more thorough and complete reconstruction of events. Ms. Munoz’s contributions to improving office support and her continued commitment to Axiom Reconstruction, Inc. have made her a pillar of this firm.
Ali spends her free time with her Goldendoodle, Jax. She also enjoys traveling, playing pickleball, and attending concerts.
Billy Bailey brings over 30 years of professional experience and knowledge. He comes to Axiom Reconstruction after spending 10 years as a Human Resources (HR) professional in the private and public sector. Billy retired from a distinguished career in the United States Air Force (USAF) in the top 3% as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO). While in the Air Force, he served in various roles and different locations throughout the world. He is a recipient of the Joint Meritorious Service Medal, four Commendation Medals, two Achievement Medals and numerous other awards and decorations. In addition, he was recognized as the SNCO of the year for his organization for three consecutive years in the USAF.
Billy has an Associate Degree in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Tanya, for over 30 years and together they have two amazing children and one spoiled dog. He is an active member of Grace Church in Lucas, TX. He is an ordained deacon, has led Adult Bible studies, works with the children’s ministry and is a leader in the AWANA program. He enjoys sports especially watching high school and college football, reading and spending time with family and friends.
